Put me down for Belfry all the way to Papa Johns.

I'm sure Magoffin dreads this one as bad as Belfry.

This would be beyond an upset.

McCoy has done a great job at Magoffin County. It's too bad they have to meet the state champs in the 1st round.

Belfry - 55

Magoffin County - 7

Just making it to the playoffs is a great accomplishment for the Magoffin Co. football program and Coach McCoy. I dont think many people would have expected McCoy to turn this program around as swiftly as he has. Belfry is just at a totally different level, but the Hornets will play with pride and hard til the whistle blows.

Magoffin hasn't made the playoffs since way back in my days...well, actually a season after my days.

Belfry names the score. Subs play a ton!!

I'm glad we have Magoffin this week. It gives us a chance for Andrew to heal and get ready for next week. Go Pirates. =]

Belfry 48-0.

Few things to consider about this game:

- Magoffin is not a bad team. They tackle very well, they hit hard, and they have a big line.

- Belfry QB Andrew Elkins will not be playing

- Don't expect Belfry's Iron-Men to see alot of action on the defensive side of the ball, I expect Haywood to limit the number of snaps that May/Dotson/Lee see.

- In the first meeting, the Pirate's scored 3 TD's off kick returns, all-in-all Magoffin played them pretty well.

Expect to see alot of Thomas Varney, Timmy Lovern,, and a few QB keepers off tackle with Preston. Due to the factors listed above, coupled with Magoffin's pension for running down the clock, and a natural tendacy for the Pirates to not have their optimum focus.. I expect this to be a closer game than most, especially at the half. If Chester McCoy wants to have any chance he will do everything he can to not kick the ball to Belfry's returners.

I'll say:

Belfry 35

Magoffin 6... in a very ho-hum type of game with probably the lowest home attendance of the season (Gotta love the playoff format!).

I also predict lots of grumbling by Belfry fans (including myself) that is completely unwarranted as the Pirates look very rusty and unfocused.

Belfry 55, Magoffin Co. 6

And who are the two who voted for Magoffin? C'mon, fess up!

Pirate starters get much rest in a laugher.
