But does anyone know much about Anderson Co.? All I know is their scores some really close games but I know nothing about them. Are they a running team a passing team or what? Purple they will also have to come to the Dungeon and we all know that is not the easiest place to play. Also I can see John Hardin coming thru with an upset though a very slight chance against the Purples. BG is good no doubt about it. Owensboro has one of the best defenses in the state that will keep them in any game along with a few surprises for the playoffs. Highlands by far is the team to beat always totally loaded with a bunch of D1 players and could be the next Hoover High. (joke) But it is going to be a battle on the top side to see who gets to play Highlands at Papa John's and there are 4 teams really vying for the spot, OWENSBORO, BOWLING GREEN, JOHN HARDIN, and ANDERSON CO. and all roads to Papa John's go thru the Big O as long as they are winning. Having seen Owensboro, JH, and Anderson...BG is 21+ points better than all of them. The playoffs are a time when anything can happen, but I say BG blows out everyone till the Finals.

I'm almost positive that the last time Lincoln Co was in Ft Thomas was in the 1981 playoffs. Great program indeed!!!

 

Lincoln County has played at Highlands twice with both being the Regional Finals (1979 and 1981). Lincoln County was 12-0 in 1981 and we were shut out 14-0 by Highlands.

I guess I'm a little disappointed you didn't pick BG after coming to Trinity and playing a great game! Our road to state seems a little tougher than Highlands having to travel to #3 and #4 Owensboro & JH. (assuming we get out of the first 2 rounds) Haven't seen either play but on paper, they both look great. Only common opponent we have with JH is Warren Central, they beat 41-26 and we beat 62-6 and North Hardin, they beat 21-7and we beat 36-6.

Highlands v Lincoln Co (gotta watch Coach French...that was a very bitter pill for BGHS to swallow when he was at Meade Co in 1991!)

 

For those not in the know, Meade Co pulled out a 19-15 squeaker over BGHS in a 1991 semifinal game in the last two minutes of the game.

I didn't mean to bring up bad memories for you personally, but you know what we historians say,"Those who do not remember history are doomed to repeat it!" And believe me, the guys have the last two 3A Championship Games fresh on their minds! They know that they have to take it one game at a time!

They know that their tickets aren't punched yet...they have to earn EVERY step of the way!:thumb:
