Central has a pretty smooth trip, they will maul thier two district opponents, then will be at "the hive" to host probably Russellville, who I think will push Central, but not too hard. Then they will likely have to travel to Tilghman, a rough, long trip for sure, but they advance.

 

I'd give Central an even chance against Belfry (or Breathitt/Russell) in Papa John's.

As thsrocks said, Belfry has a long way to go before Central is even a forethought, but I don't believe they, nor anyone else in 3A, will beat Belfry. But I said Central has a legitimate shot at taking the title, which is what this thread is about.

From what I saw last night, Louis.Central if full of BIG, FAST players. The physical build of those kids last night reminded me of Trotwood Madison. Big and athletic. The weak link in Louisville Cent. may be conditioning. They are going to need to be able to go the distance physically to make it to state. The positive is that Louis. Cent. does not back down from any one. They take on everyone.:thumb: But, being a 3A size school, with their numbers they are going to have to have the conditioning it takes to pull out the win in the end.

Bullitt East is a pretty darn good 5-5 team also. Lost three games by one point .. played Manual better than Male did, Fairdale was really the only team that had our number this year.

 

Lost to Central on a lucky play, bad snap on an extra point picked up and ran in for two.

It may prove to be incorrect, but I think "Tall Trees" may be on to something.

 

Phillip Haywood MIGHT be the difference.

MISTER Cobble is a PLAY-AH !! Big # 54 pounded the Birds' O-line all night long. Linebackers were very stealth-like and benifitted greatly from the D-line mauling the HHS fronnt. Their passing game looked very good, wonder why they didn't use it more??? Was told that QB going to be offered by UK (athelete)...and many of these guys go on to play at D-2/D-3 level. Well done guys and good luck the rest of the way. Wish the local Fans would come out and show more support...loved the band. They didn't march, but had a great beat and excellent "stand moves" !!

I hope they play everyone like they did against HHS and St.X (for a 1/2). #54 Cobble is my pick for All-State. He is the best DT in the city of Louisville, maybe the State.
