Are these games on Saturday?

What are the ticket prices?

I might try to take these games in.

Yes Saturday and I believe it is $3 to get in.

Little Guru will be playing in the junior game for the Spartans against a very good Red Devil team.

I thought the team you played for depended on where you live?

Or do not live in the location on your avatar?

Just curious!

We live in Florence but under certain conditions the NKYFL takes players from "out of city."

Where I live, there is no NKYFL team, just the BCPWFL draft.

Not trying to "start" anything...but don't these weight limits for play discriminate against heavier kids? Plus, your not developing bigger linemen...or do they just move up in class?

This weight rule has been contested in court several time's and since the NKYFL is governed by its own rule's and board they can set weights any way they want and it is not discrimanation. We raise the weights prieodically however, I want to do what BCPWFYL does and no weight limit for line men only backs and receivers. If a kid can not make weight they usually go to the Boone County league. We never discourage kid's not to play football and will usually give them a contact to reach. In all we really do not lose to many kids to the weight limit. JD

Lil' Ru is #84.

The NKYFL weight limits are very generous. I think the BCPWFL has problems with weight too. Generous is one thing, letting kids that weigh nearly 200lbs (and that can move decent) play against 8 and 9 year olds is lunacy. On top of that, the weight limits for running backs in the BCPWFL are way way too low.

GURU, I agree with you in some instances. I just don't want to see a young

person not be able to play football because they wiegh to much. We just make it a practice to find a team in Boone County that will take them. I think we have last maybe 5 kid's over the past three year's from the Erlanger program. JD

Yes but... at some point parents need to take some responsibility for their obese children. Now just because someone didn't make the weight in the NKYFL doesn't mean they are obese and I agree maybe allowing lineman to weigh 20lbs more than the already liberal weight limit would be a good compromise.

Yes I agree parent's do need to take responsibility. Also adding weight would help and solve several problem's in the NKYFL. I just don't like to see player's not participate due to weight. JD

The biggest problem I see with the NKYFL weight limits, unless they have changed things, is that they do it once a year. What is the point of a kid going on a crash diet to lose 10 or 15 lb's and then the day after the weigh-in putting all the weight back on?

Thanks, we will need it against a very good and well coached Spartans.

The key is blocking lil Ru at nose. Good luck to him, he is fine young man and football player.
