Pretty bad in Cincy when all you hear about all week is the Colts/Pats game..

Don't let it be said I didn't tell you so. I wouldn't be surprised to see the final margin 28+.

They are not even comparable. The Colts D is above average yes, but the Patriots top to bottom have the best D in the league. I don't think the Colts will be able to run the football on them.

Don't underestimate leftover lingering anger on the part of Tom Brady. He's wanting to beat Peyton by a bunch ...

 

That's what I'm saying...for people who think the Colts will gain some advantage because the Pats are favored and they feel disrespected. Forget about it...they've beat NE 3 straight, including the AFC title game last year...the Patriots will be just as motivated to prove that the Colts haven't got their number. This game comes down to the teams and the coaching and the Pats have the advantage almost across the board, IMO.

I can't believe that point was even made...if you take away meaningless 4th quarter points that both teams have allowed the points allowed favors NE by around 2 per game.

 

The offenses are close, the Patriots have a clear advantage defensively and coaching.

I've got a question for you...who is this game more important for?

 

I say Indianapolis...if the Colts want any chance at a repeat, they have to win this game, IMO. If they lose, there is virtually no chance they get home field, and there is no way they go into Foxboro in January and beat this Patriot team. They may not be able to beat them on their home field.

 

New England, on the other hand, is far more capable of winning in the RCA Dome in January. Also, the odds of New England winning out and still getting home field even if they lose are much higher than the opposite, IMO.

 

Barring unforeseen circumstances, like catastrophic injuries, if the Patriots win this game, I think they're a virtual lock to win the Super Bowl.
