October 7, 200719 yr Author Les Miles made some gutsy calls. "Gutsy" is French for "not intelligent but hey if it works....." That Hester is one tough SOG.
October 7, 200719 yr Les Miles made some gutsy calls. gutsy=stupid in some people's eyes if they had failed on those 4th down attempts.:sssh:
October 7, 200719 yr LSU will stay at #1 and with Ohio State or Cal at #2 with the other at 3, JMO. Cal was idle this week so I don't know if that wil allow OSU to jump ahead of them or not.
October 7, 200719 yr Does UF go down in the polls after this loss? I have a hard time seeing it. Losing to the #1 team on the road in such a close game shouldn't send you lower in the polls. However, with 2 losses in successive weeks, they probably will drop a bit.
October 7, 200719 yr Great game! Very gutsy calls by LSU coach. Not so sure if I would have made the last 4th down call...but I'm not a coach. I think Florida has to drop in the polls with 2 consecutive losses.
October 7, 200719 yr What a great football game! I watched the entire game, every minute from start to finish, and it was captivating. That was what SEC football is all about, just pure guts. Two players that IMO carried their teams tonight; for Florida, Tim Tebow, just a tremendously gutsy passionate performance from this absolute freak of nature. He has a huge heart and puts it all on the line. The MVP for LSU has to be Jacob Hester. He plays just as hard as Tebow and you can tell how much this season means to him. He did a great job running the football tonight, especially in the huge spots where LSU had to have it. The announcers said tonight that in his career at LSU he has 1 (singular) fumble, and it was on his very first carry. That just tells you what kind of football player he is.
October 7, 200719 yr I had a one track mind tonight and missed most of this one. Sounds like an instant classic that I'll have to catch on replay...
October 7, 200719 yr That's the best big game I think I've watched since the Texas/USC. There were some major licks being laid on both sides of the ball by both teams! Miles made some HUGE calls! Had LSU not gotten that last 1st down then Miles would have been the goat! Amazing how a couple of inches change the way you are viewed around the world:) Great game! 4 top ten teams beaten this weekend. Mizzouri is SPANKING Neb right now! 41-6 with 12:00 left in the 4th. Mizzo just ran an awsome FG fake for a TD.
