So is Highlands that dominate a team? How will they dominate?

 

 

I just can't see Lex Cath beating Highlands. Not this year. Defensively...your run defense is suspect. Offensively....you could barely muster 14 points against a slighly better than average Harrison Co team. don't take it as a knock...but Catholic is simply not as solid as in years past.

 

Look for Highlands to win this one....

I exclude Trotwood which apparently is their best win but they are an Ohio team and there is no basis for comparison. Also LexCath has improved on run defense against everyone not named Finch.

Without excluding Trotwood, I'd say that Lex Cath is probably the second best team we will have played so far -- other than in scrimmage play.

I expect a great game by two great teams, the Birds better be ready for the rest of the season. It doesn’t end with just a district title!!:ylsuper::ylsuper: Stay focused and play hard, there are no easy teams left on our schedule, also all are on the road. There is no doubt in my mind that we can win, just don’t beat yourselves!!!

Why is there no basis for comparison just because the team is from Ohio? All you have to do is look at the Trotwood roster. 6 players from that team and possibly more, are heading to D-1 schools with scholarships. No team Lex Cath has played or will play has that much talent. Trotwood would be a force in Kentucky at any level. But go right ahead and discount the win the Birds had over Trotwood. You're right, it probably did not mean a thing...

I'm not discounting Trotwood, it's just these out of state games don't lend themselves to comparisons with Ky teams like instate games do. Highlands has played one game against a non-Cincy area team, Hopkinsville, who is having a sub-par year. I know Highlands is an excellent team, they always are, but none of their Ky opponents have very good records. LexCath lost badly to St. X and won impressively against Scott County. Both these teams would beat any of the teams Highlands played except MAYBE Trotwood.

I'm thinking Highlands played pretty darn good against Louisville Male albeit a scrimmage, but hey, the way they run that scrimmage, it's like the first game of the year.

I don't see this game being won by more than a couple of scores either way.

 

The one thing I am surprised about is the LexCath-Harrison County game... it's surprising that LexCath only put up 2 scores on HC. Maybe LC just had an off night.

Highlands better take care of business this week in pratice or it will be a long night in Lexington. Highlands should win but it will be one of those classic games where the home team tries to knock off the best team in the state.
