How good is M.C. defense?

I'm happy to see the improvement that McCreary is showing and I'm glad to see the support their fans are giving them this season. However, the one common opponent these two have had is Leslie with KC winning 46-0 while MC lost 42-36. Giving up 42 points to a team that Knox Central shut out does not make me want to say this one will be close.

Defense wins this one.

Knox Central 32

McCreary Central 14

Knox beat Leslie 46-0

Leslie beat McCreary @ McCreary 42-36

I know "you can't go on another games score" but I am on this one.

I agree that defense is going to play a big part in this game as it does in every game. But you really can't compare what you think McCreary will do against Knox Co with how they did against leslie or even Williamsburg. Both of those teams had great success throwing the ball and a lot less running the ball. We all know that McCreary is known to be a run stopping defense and has never defended the pass well. We also know that Knox Central is going to line it up and run it down your throat. That type of offense is and was very effective against leslie Co (even for the Raiders) but IMO the Raiders will be able to defend against the power run iffense that Knox will bring to the game which will make the game a lot close than people are expecting. I think it can go either way: Raiders 22 / Knox 22 give or take a point for either team and the one who makes the fewest mistakes on Offense or does the best job with special teams will win this game!

If Knox Central loses this game they should discontinue football. Knox 42-an improving Raiders team 14.

That's cold, especially coming from a guy with "average" in his name.:p

I go with Knox, but it wouldn't be an Appy State if MC pulls one out. They are much improved over the whipping boy days of yesteryear

KC (minus the sunshine band) 35

MC 24

Now if I were playing I'd have the Raiders by 3 tds. I think MC is getting a lot better but Knox should handle them pretty easily in this one.

The Watts kid is a junior with his eligability

So he will not be playing as a senior?

Thats a huge drawback for him in college recruiting if he can't play as a senior, I expected him to get a lot of college looks for basketball, hopefully he can keep his grades up for NCAA clearing house because he has a legit shot at a future in sports.

I don't know where you got your information but you are wrong. He is a sophmore and he will be eligible his senior year. Make sure you get your facts straight before you post on here. All misinformed information does is turn in to rumors and accusations and niether of those things are healthy for a program. So, I will state again, the Watts kid is a sophmore and he will be eligible to play his senior year!

Thats good news, to hear. I believe you are eligible as long at you are not 19 before the state of the season of a particular sport starts, anyone know if that is right as far as the rule goes?

First to 50 wins this one, and after seeing KC play McCreary will get there first. Good luck raiders make a new name for youself

IMO the panthers would have trouble putting up 50 and MC surely will not get more than 14 to 20 on the D of KC. Panthers should win 22 to 12.
