Lincoln Co. 12 Mercer Co. 7

Featured Replies

The cheap shots being taken at Mercer in this thread are stale and devoid of class and sportsmanship. The Titans lost to a good team. That's about it.

Agreed...Danville is 2A.Last week they beat a 4A school,tonight beat a 4A school.What's there Point?

They weren't talking about Danville.

Congrats Lincoln, lookin forward to heading that way next week.

This thread could get interesting. I think this is the one night alot of people have been waiting for. Mercer to lose so they could say I told you so.

Its not as easy playing in a class that you belong in compared to playing schools half your size. I believe everyone outside of Mercer expected this one.

How many people have you talked to from Mercer that don't have computers? Did you even look at the poll of the Mercer/ Lincoln thread that had more people voting for Lincoln to win at one point? Quite a few people from Mercer were concerned about their offense and their concerns became a reality tonight. Last year's Mercer team could have competed or beaten 98% of the state's teams last year. This Mercer team is clearly not the same team as last year. I also seem to recall a 15-12 final game in 2A so it's not like they dominated the entire 2A class. Yes, they are in 5A with a different set of teams, but last year's Lincoln County team would have had a very hard time with last year's version of Mercer County and it would be foolish to believe otherwise.

Told you so about what? Not even the most die hard Mercer fans believed they would go undefeated and run the table again. Knowing what they are up against, most Mercer fans just want to build on what they started last year. They want you to believe they don't belong, but Mercer will adjust and be fine in the next 2-3 years. This is transition time for Mercer like it is transition time for WKU going to NCAA Div-1-A.

Good game Pats, Mercer is playin wit da big boys now!

If people want to talk about Lincoln County versus Mercer County, I'm all for it. If this turns into lets-take-pot-shots-at-Mercer I'm gonna shut the thread down. End of story, do not pass 'Go' do not collect $200.

Thank you...:thumb:

I went to The Lincoln/Bell Co. game two weeks ago and Lincoln Did not look good at all.The last two weeks they have made a big turn around...:thumb:

Not to sound over confident, cocky, or riding a big horse, was a good win for Lincoln Co. The defence held MC to only 35 yard in the second half. I guess most people know now that LC still has a football program.

Mercer's 17 game winning streak is snapped... who has the longest streak now? Trinity? NCC had a nice streak going as well until Ryle ended it tonight as well.

Ok now.:D Good luck to LC the rest of the Season...:thumb:
