They have started off 0-2 with Ironton and Russell coming up. Looks like they may start 0-4. What are everyones opinion on what you would do if you were the coach????

Personally, start building for the future and try to get your current players to respect and appreciate the game of football.

If my son were an Ashland Tomcat playing for Coach Hart right now, I would keep my mouth shut and stay out of the way and let him motivate and coach the kids. I would also be thankful that my son could play for Coach Hart- what a blessing that would be!

I agree Coach Hart is a pretty decent Coach and should know his problems right now...that is why I said he better start worry about the future of the Program instead of the Now, because you got to keep in mind that some of his star players even missed a lot of preseason practice due to other sports..lets keep that in mind too.

 

I know before anyone gets offensive, the other sport might be their scholarship, but still isnt fair to the Current Sports Season Coach.

Actually, I havent missed a game since 93 ( home and away). Hart has had the talent since he has been there and thats the reason he has done well. When it has came down to him coaching then he doesnt suceed( i.e when we played Mason Co in the region championship and he lost it for us) I look for us to win 1 or 2 games and Hart to leave and Tackett take over....

Ashland pretty much let Coach Flynn go because he had a down year and look what he did for the basketball program

What's so funny happy ol' dad? I can guarantee you that ChiefSmoke knows his football, and what it takes to be successful. The Chief is a wise man, and it would do you some good to listen to ChiefSmoke.

:thumb: I agree 100%. Every one of Coach Hart's teams that I have watched has improved by leaps and bounds over the course of the season. That's what good coaching is all about and a parent cannot ask for any more. Ashland will be fine.

What is Ashland going to do?

 

Continue to play and get better. Possibly move Thomas permanently to RB. I agree with the observations that Ashland almost always seems to improve greatly throughout the year.

I am one that feels the Tomcats will beat Ironton. I know you guys think I'm crazy or have been drinking that orange kool aid that Oldrambler has been passing around. Just a joke Rambler!! I truely think Ashland will be hunger come Friday. That win will be a major boost for this team. Now the week after that big win well it might be back to business as usual.

 

One thing is for sure Coach Hart is working hard to right the ship.
