August 21, 200719 yr I don't know if it was technically a B movie (I'd put my money that it was), but Peter Jackson's Dead Alive is CLASSIC.
August 21, 200719 yr "The Beastmaster." Swordplay, a breast scene, a couple of cool witches, and Rip Torn. "B" doesn't get any better. Does anything with Rip Torn automatically fall into the "B" movie category?
August 21, 200719 yr Does anything with Rip Torn automatically fall into the "B" movie category? It did until he did 'Men In Black.'
August 21, 200719 yr Here's one that is great"Hollywood shuffle". Open the Link to find out more...So stupid it's great... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hollywood_Shuffle It may have been done on a B-movie budget, but this was more of a social commentary on Townsend's difficulties as a black actor breaking into the movie business. I wouldn't really call it a B-movie. And it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.
August 21, 200719 yr 1987 The owner of a liquor store in lower Manhattan finds a case of cheap wine ("Tenafly Viper") in his basement. It's over sixty years old and has gone bad, but he decides to sell it to the local hobos anyway. Unfortunately, anyone who drinks this Viper melts away in a hideous fashion. At the same time, an overzealous cop is trying to get to the bottom of all the deaths. The movie is littered with darkly comedic deaths and injury - notably the hobo who dies from exploding due to a bad case of gas; a man who appears to welcome friends despite the fact his face is melting and a severed head which looks around curiously at its killers. It also contains the notorious 'severed privates' scene where a group of homeless people play catch with the severed member of one of their number, as he futilely attempts to recover it. Yup, just as atrocious as I recall. And when I rented it at about age 17, my buddies and I watched it through twice, back-to-back, because it was so funny and ridiculously bad. How can you go wrong with a flick about bums and their daily quest for booze?
August 21, 200719 yr I watched Plan 9 From Outer Space from start to finish and kept telling myself it can't get any worse. I was wrong. There is no way that movie could have been made and someone really thoought it was good.
August 21, 200719 yr I was wondering if someone here would read this and didn't know about MST3K. It's amazing that show has been off the air for some time now. Nice to see the DVDs still being churned out. Someone mentioned Adrienne Barbeau and that reminded of the classic movie Swamp Thing. Another movie that came to mind is Red Dawn. There are A LOT of those cheesy 80's films from Canon you could throw in this list as well. Revenge of the Ninja, Delta Force, Invasion USA. Heck, let's throw all of Chuck Norris films in this thread.
August 21, 200719 yr Masters of the Universe, Chopping Mall, anything by Uwe Boll, Robot Jox, Arena and last but not least Robot Wars. A movie where the main character mortally insulted some guy with the line "So tell me something, was your daddy rich and your momma good lookin'?" To this day I ponder that one.

I think I first caught it back in 92 on a weekend night/Morning on USA network...Very Funny...
