BoondockSaint Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 LOS ANGELES -- Emmanuel Moody, the second-leading rusher for Southern California last season as a freshman who is caught in a glut of highly regarded tailbacks, has decided to transfer. Moody, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound sophomore from Texas, gained 458 yards on 79 carries last season before missing the final four games because of a sprained ankle. He entered camp as one of 10 players competing for playing time at tailback. http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/story/10298067
BoondockSaint Posted August 16, 2007 Author Posted August 16, 2007 If he can stay healthy, he is going to make some lucky school very, very happy.
bugatti Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 ^ No doubt. I would think he would go somewhere along the southern part of the country to be a little closer to home. This is a stud of a RB. He was an original Texas committ.
The Breeze Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Thats pretty funny to transfer after having your picture on the cover of Sports Illustrate for USC this week.
cshs81 Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 I didn't read the article so it may have mentioned this but OK State is a potential place for him to land.
oldrambler Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 The College game day crew said yesterday that they didn't know if he would be going to Texas or not but he is from Texas and as others have said originally commited to them. CGD crew stated Okla. State as a good possibility. I look for him to stay close to home as well.
The Breeze Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 He was originally going to go to Texas, so I would not be surprised to see him land there. But hey, come on to UK like 5wide said.
NHS BIG DADDY Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 OK ST. seems to be the most common place thrown around out there at the moment.
Warrior32 Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 OK ST. seems to be the most common place thrown around out there at the moment. You mean UL has a small chance at him?
ram95 Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 You mean UL has a small chance at him? Not likely we have as big a back log of RB's right now as USC.
Sweetness Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Not likely we have as big a back log of RB's right now as USC. Louisville does have some quality backs (Stripling, Allen) but IMO maybe not AS deep as USC.
cshs81 Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Louisville does have some quality backs (Stripling, Allen) but IMO maybe not AS deep as USC. Who is AS deep as SC? They've got 9 studs vying for the ball.
ram95 Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Who is AS deep as SC? They've got 9 studs vying for the ball.Don't twist my words around too much guys! I am not saying that Louisville has the same quality of depth as USC, but Louisville does have 6 RB and 3 FBs looking for touches, and they include Anthony Allen, Sergio Spencer, George Stripling, Vic Anderson, Dale Martin, Joe Tronzo, Brock Bolen all of whom had a good camp, so while Moody could absolutely be a top player, he would have to share touches which is why he left USC in the first place. That is all I am saying.
