So what is CCH focusing their offense on so far? Buckley running the ball? Brossart being a former lineman may want to jump on this kid's back and ride him til the cows come home this year. Young QB with little experience may be tough for the Colonels.

Hard to say from what I saw today. Buckley was the only bright spot today. I think CCH only ran about 20 offensive plays. Nothing seemed to work. I think they only got 2 or 3 first downs. With 3 qbs splitting 20 plays, it is hard to see where this offense is headed.

While they might have run 20 plays, it seemed to me that they only ran about three running plays, #23 left or right, and Buckley up the middle. Ice or Furnish had little time to look down the field before Ryle's

"D-linemen" were on top of them. To me at least, this year version of CovCath "O" will depend on how well the "O-line" develops, because as of right this moment, I wouldn't want to be the QB against La Salle on the 25th....he could get killed....

While I was impressed with the CovCath "D" (without Van Sant especially) they looked good, but I am not so sure it wasn't because Ryle's "O" looked almost as bad as CovCath "O" today.....

He was sitting right by you, man that was ugly...

#18 is only a Sophmore:ylsuper:

BTW, this has really turned into a nice annual rivalry. I remember back to Bryson's first year as HC when the teams went at it pretty hard in the passing league and its stayed intense since then. Good to see.

Did I miss something?

According to the Enquired this morning th Raiders racked up a lot more yards then CCH.

Cov Cath defense looked really good. There Special Teams looked good. There offense is new and these Seniors on Cov Cath team have gone through 4 offense so it will take time for them to learn this new offense. But Dave Brossart is a good coach. They will do just fine

Do you think that Highlands will make any adjustments in their backfield to cover Ryle's receivers????

Good observation. I am sure that the offense will improve with time. It is a good thing that Coach Brossarts area of expertise is the offensive line.

I was dissapionted CCH didnt throw the ball more. I guess it was because the QB didnt have a lot of time, but it didnt seem like they thre the ball a lot.

Not at all.

Unless Ryle improves a lot on offense over the next two weeks they will really struggle to score against the Birds.

You may very well be right. But I don't think that Ryle showed them much Saturday morning. They only ran 6 plays and 2 offensive sets. Highlands was there watching of course.
