Ryle/CovCath Scrimmage

Featured Replies

It was hard to tell how much of a weapon #18 would or will be since they only threw his direction twice. I would have liked to to have seen more. I would think that it will be in the future plans.

TOG,

Ryle got literally killed last year in the scrimmage vs. CovCath and looked terrible. Not sure what you are remembering but your statement is totally incorrect. This past Saturday, CovCath had 4 yards net offense, 1 or 2 first downs, 0 completed passes, no sustained drives yet Ryle moved the ball, completed passes, had first downs and looked almost as bad. Interesting that you say the Birds will name the score vs. Ryle in the season opener. Have a great week!

But that was with your QB out with that broken jaw on the first play of the scrimmage, and if I remember correctly another player who either got hurt in the scrimmage, or who was out hurt also. Ryle looked much better last year, sorry but true.

If and that is a huge IF Ryle had held CovCath to the above stats last year, then that would have been something, as no one else did all Season, but it was against this year version, and the two "O's" at this time, are as different as night and day. I wouldn't be patting myself on the back because Ryle stopped CovCath in this years scrimage.... and if Ryle moved the ball so well on "O" then why did they only score 10 points with the starting QB playing most of the game? If I am correct, the only time Ryle scored a TD was when the CovCath "O" gave you a gift on what was it the 8/9 yard line!!!!!

Gee, I can admit that CovCath isn't nearly the team they were last year at this time, but some fans, just can't see the truth, around their rose colored glasses..... Ryle, like CovCath, won't be playing in the State Finals this season.....

And thank you I will, as I am on vacation this week. :D
