I personally think Simon Kenton And Campbell County will have a strong group of recievers. Simon Kenton features two promising wide outs in Nathan Ponzer and Tommy Gibson. The Camels have 4 talented wideouts who all saw Varsity action last year.They include seniors Austin Studer, Andy Franzen, Chris Addie, and Junior Tony Bishop. Both of these teams will be fun to watch this year.

 

Couldn't agree more, Simon Kenton has the size with Tommy and the Speed with Nate. Should be very fun to watch.

I'm admittedly not that up on this years' kids as in years past, but it's hard to believe that Highlands, NCC and CovCath don't land on this list somewhere?? CCH in particluar has thrown the ball well the last few years, and I've heard good things about Dixie's aerial game this year!!

HHS has a slew of recievers that are high quality. Sparky

Draper, SR, having transitioned from "thrower" to "catcher" will be vastly improved over last year at wide out. Drew Bathiany will also provide some deep threat. Drew Simons could be an all state reciever if he gets the time away from defense. Trey Jurgens @ TE will be a great reciever. Young Roller @ TE is a very good target and can do damage once he has it. Young Rosenhagen and Collinsworth could also play into the mix with good hands and speed. T. Owens has been looking excellent in practice. Others you may see sneak into the mix are Matt Reed, Will "the thrill" Coleman, Danny "hairball" Courts, Alex Horner, Jake Turner (ton of talent...needs a position!)

CovCath will have a great core of wide outs with four seniors, Jake Punch, Austin Schneider, Matt Klare, and Chris Cason, rotating at the two wide out positions. They just haven't been getting much publicity playing behind Bovard and Ganshirt for two years.

Is Pat VanSant not playing WR? I was told he was the 2nd fastest kid on the team last year behind Castaneda, and I thought I heard he was going to be put at this position this year.

I don't think PVS is back to 100% yet so that issue may not have an answer yet.

It will probably be a close call on him being ready for LaSalle.

 

He looks to be 6'2 now and getting some pipes developed. He's the best college prospect on the team IMO.

He had his surgery back in the spring. Would you say he's 70 or 80% or what? I would hate to see a kid like this miss any time because he's a great talent. Also the most polite kid that I have ever met.

I dont think he is up to 100% yet, but i think they should put him at a DB spot or a outside linebacker spot. He is fast and he can tackle, there's a lot of options for him. IMO they wont need him at WR, i heard they have 4 solid one's already.
