How do you say Appalachian?

Interesting poll results. I don't know everyone's residential home, but based on the ones I do know, it looks like most of the residents of the area use the Appa-latch-un pronunciation and most of the non residents use the Appa-lay-shun pronunciation.

The college in VA is pronounce Appa-layshin , and that is the way I pronounce our area.

Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, Va...pronounces Appa-latch-an
