I guess you can disregard my previous post...

I read at about 7 this morning on foxsports that Rondo was included but I guess that changed quickly.:thumb:

Celtics have agreed in principal to a deal that would bring the 10-time NBA All-Star from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Al Jefferson, Theo Ratliff and his expiring contract, Gerald Green and Sebastian Telfair.

According to one source, T-Wolves Vice President of Basketball Operations Kevin McHale wanted Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo. However, Celtics boss Danny Ainge held out from trading Rondo -- who will likely be the team's starting floor leader this season.

Wow. There goes my hopes and dreams for this season.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Make this deal happen!

Celtic Pride again?

Celtics close to acquiring KG

T'wolves would get Jefferson, Green as part of trade

The Celtics are on the verge of acquiring Kevin Garnett in what would be the blockbuster NBA trade of the summer, a league source confirmed.

Boston and the Minnesota Timberwolves are still haggling over the pieces that will accompany Al Jefferson, Theo Ratliff and Gerald Green to Minnesota, with the Celtics trying to hold onto second-year point guard Rajon Rondo and keep him out of the trade.

The Celtics are also negotiating an extension of three to four years with Garnett, who has two years and $45 million remaining on his current contract with Minnesota. A 15 percent trade kicker will add $6.75 million to Garnett's salary over the next two years.

The Celts just went from the bottom to the top.

Where are the Ainge haters now. In one month he turned the worst team in the league to a Conference contender.

Wonder what changed Garnett's mind? Probably seen that they got Ray Allen and with Peirce he finally will get the title shot he's been hoping for.

Up until a month ago, he had done nothing for the Celts to warrent any love.

Touche.

Exactly! Not long ago everyone was saying that Ainge was stupid and didn't know what he was doing. Now their contenders!
