Garnett to Boston...Finally???

Three all-stars does not always equal a championship, but for these three it will just be a matter of when, not if. All the Celtics lack now is a center, because they have the perfect point guard for this team in Rondo, because he penetrates and passes, but does not take a lot of shots, which is great for a team with 3 STARS. They will have the 2 or 3 seed in the East this year, and then the next year I think that they will win the championship, because then they will have chemestry and will work together, much like Iverson and Carmelo, who I think the Nuggets will be a good team next year. All three stars are not that selfish, so I see that the Celtics will go from laughed at to respected in a matter of months, from the GM being the "worst" to being a "geneous".

I really doubt that Rondo is ready to be the point guard on a title contending team just yet.

Boston has a steep drop-off in proven NBA talent after the three stars..........they will have to fill some holes to challenge for a title.

Title contending, probably not...but eastern conference contending, sure.

Sometimes you have to go out on a limb...that is where the fruit is. :D

Won't win 50 games...there, I said it again. ;) :sssh:

Would you like to reiterate that point? :sssh:

If they can eke out 20 wins in their last 47 games, they can hit that magical 50 win plateau? I know it's a longshot, but I still think they can do it...:p:D

Don't know, don't care, doesn't alter my "prediction." They are paper thin, have an inexperienced PG who can't score in the 1/2 court, and a big they are counting on coming off of knee surgery. Can't wait to see the Vegas over/under on their win total....I wish I had a ranch I could put on it. :walk:

I'm easy to find if they do in fact get to 50 -- I can eat my crow like a man.

Thanks, I didn't know the East was weak, that changes everything.

66-16

Crow served...:p

To be fair, this turned out even better than I expected for the Celtics...I figured they'd be in the top 3 of the east. I didn't expect them to be the best team in the whole league...

What do you say now the way he has played this year?

Wow, talk about bringing up old news.

He wasn't bringing up old news. He was simply stating that a pre-season prediction was wrong.
