July 30, 200719 yr I think he should just play baseball. All he is concerned about right now is breaking the record. If you watch him when he isn't batting, he's completely lackadaisical and acts like he couldn't care less. If he doesn't hit a homer, he barely trots to first base.

Not at all....He's got a slight chance, to repair a small portion of his media problems and he could exhibit some compassion, humbleness and be contrite, whenever he breaks the record. It will not undo his previous conduct to reporters, lack of interviews and all else that surrounds him, but if he takes off and waits for home.....He will appear as a "record seeker" and not a baseball player, who is about to break the record. Bonds can help himself, because on the road he will certainly get booed and more, but he has a chance to rise above and display some human emotions, thankfulness and humbleness, I believe many would like to see, when breaking the HR record....we'll see, how he handles it.

I know many here disagree with me, but I want Bonds to break the record this year, sign on with an AL team for the next year or 2 and get to the 800 HR mark before calling it quits. I want him to distance himself from the rest of the field.
