July 16, 200719 yr From Buster Olney's Blog. I honestly don't know what I would do. I think Jocketty is one of the best, if not the best, GM's in the game. I can't stand LaRussa. By the way: There continues to be a lot of under-the-radar chatter in baseball about LaRussa and St. Louis GM Walt Jocketty moving on to Cincinnati together after this season. http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?name=olney_buster
July 16, 200719 yr Jocketty I could handle, but if Larussa came to Cincy as manager, I might have to rethink my team allegiance, at least until he is gone...maybe be a D-backs fan for awhile...at least I could root for B Webb then.
July 16, 200719 yr Unless the Reds increase their spending I don't see Jocketty going there but you never know.
July 17, 200719 yr If I can cheer for a team coached by Rick Pitino, I can cheer for a team managed by Tony LaRussa.

I think I would do the same. I have been a Reds fan for over 40 years but I don't think I could stand to see Larussa in a Reds uniform.

July 17, 200719 yr I don't see LaRussa in a Reds uniform next year. I see him retiring. Jocketty may end up there.
July 17, 200719 yr LaRussa knows how to win, why wouldn't you want him in Cincinnati? He has won over 2,000 games as a manager, which is 3rd all time. One of only two managers to ever win a World Series in both the AL and NL. Why wouldn't you want him. And plus if he did come, maybe he could work it out that Pujols came with him? You never know.

You never know. 1) He's an arrogant horse's ... 2) Pujols and Doubleday have a great relationship after the All-Star game... 3) We have enough drunks between the Bengals and Freel...
