9th region???

Featured Replies

Jordan Kramer of Conner will be there to help Hodges. I don't know how Asia Adams has done this summer but if she has improved she will def help out down low she is about six foot two with really long arms

I heard Adams has improved greatly since last season. But I guess we will have to wait and see!

Conner is going to one of the top teams in the region this year. They loose a good group of seniors from last years team including 1000 point scorer Kat O'neil, Stevie Stellman, and Allison Fancher.

They return two starters this year in Stephanie Hodges, and Allison Long who will be the next 1000 point scorer at Conner. Also returning is Jordan Kramer, Sammi Johns, and Devin Beasley. Look out in the future for the back of Long and Beasley.

I thought that Sammi Johns had moved into the Ryle school district and will be attending Ryle this coming school year?

Kramer(sp?) it is Kremer

There are so many question marks about every team I think it is impossible to tell how things will shake out.

Boone- Can they find a leader they apparently lacked last year.

ND- Can they play well without the big girls who left.

Holmes- Can they replace their point guard and get Webb to play hard all the time.

Highlands- Can they overcome the lack of consistency they showed last year.

NCC- Can they replace the points and rebounds Klei took with her.

Connor- Must replace the seniors who left.

Ludlow- Will their lack of a tough schedule do them in again.

With all these questions I think it is real toss up and should provide for a very interesting season. Only question is with the Ky Post ceasing at year end will we even be able to find out who wins the games and who scored the points.

We will sorely miss Terry Boemker, Jim Osbourn and crew. They always did a great job covering games. Ryan Ernst does a good job also, but we don't seem to get near te quantity of coverage from the Enquirer as the Post has given us.

The lack of a tough schedule would not be able to be used against the Panthers this year. They are playing alot tougher of a schedule this year than they usually play, and they definitely will be alot more prepared because of it. I not going to get into the exact schedule though on here, until the actual schedule is announced, but you all will be happy to see that Ludlow is playing a tougher schedule than usual this year, so the whole soft schedule thing wont be in play anymore...:thumb:

Conner had a very tall girl come off the bench last year. She was at least 6'4". Very raw, but if she works, could be a factor. Needs to put on some pounds though. I call Boone, Highlands, NDA, Holmes, NCC, Conner as my top 5 with Ludlow a close 6. Don't count out the Panthers. Stamm has had a ton of girls working all summer long.

:thumb: The Panthers have a team this year that can do some damage this year, and could make a move in the region tournament. It really will all just come down to the guard play for Ludlow. Because Ludlow has the size inside to compete with anyone in the region and actually will be bigger than most teams inside this year. The key will be the guard play, because they lost their starting point guard from last year in Kassi Wofford. The guards in summer play this year have looked really impressive so far, and that has been without the girl in Brook Jones who most likely will be the starting point guard for the Panthers. So as long as everyone stays healthy for Ludlow this year they can and will be one of the top teams in the region this year...

Will Ludlow play any big competition outside of the NKY... Such as the teams from lexington or louisville??? Or any teams that will be from across the river

Yes i recently heard that Sammi Johns was now atending Ryle. Im not sure on this but I heard it was over coaching at Conner. And im thinking that is is spelt Kramer.

I not really sure at the moment if they are teams from lexington or louisville. However I do believe they are in some tournament down state, and that they will be playing a couple of the traditional powers in girls basketball up here in nky...

How many is the total of girls up to that have left Conner High School, or quit playing basketball because of the coaches at Conner in the last couple of years? Most have either moved to other schools (non private) or just have quit playing baseketball altogether and stayed at Conner. What gives???

Maybe just maybe the Enquirer will get smart and hire the above gentlemen to suplement Ryan and his crew to give us in NKy some great high school sports coverage. And yes I still believe in the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy...

Not that I'm "In the know" by any means, but the last time I talked with them they didn't give me the impression that was a possibility. Hopefully they just didn't know at that time or were not at liberty to say. What a great addition that would be, however. Maybe a campaign to add them could influence the Enquirer? What was that about the Easter Bunny. Anyway, it couldn't hurt to let them know how we feel. I for one, am going to call and write and let them know I won't accept less than we now get from the Post. Will the listen? Stranger things have happened. Let's try.

Who are her parents?

Personally, I think that it seems like its never enough with the players/parents that decide to move. I mean Conner just had a great season - 20 wins, I don't think that has happened in awhile - and 33rd District Champs. They have some great talented young players too. So who knows? Coach Warfield has turned a less than .500 team into 33rd district champs and an above .500 team in two years. What more could you ask for?

People that just aren't satisfied with playing time...every parent thinks their kid is a super star...sad, but true in some cases...:dancingpa

That is a very true statement!

I thought you said in a thread last year that the two sisters who left Conner, left for academioc reasons? Because you are still close with the family since your soccer days.
