September 20, 200718 yr An aberation if you look at the last few years. Though going to right may have lent itself to this. Dunn Grif and Hobbs is a bad combo for many reasons. One being Hamilton and Grif can't stay on the field. I agree with that, but next year they should have Bruce, Hopper, Keppinger and Votto all capable of playing OF if the situation arises.

You think Freel is not back next year? And wouldn't the above mentioned been a better option this year than Ellis? Lots of questions to be addressed in off season. Another may be C. Javy has shown to be adequate, but can the Reds get by with another .200 season from Ross, or do they go in another direction at that position?

Hopper has proven to be a much better hitter, and gets on base much more frequently than Freel. I don't think Ellison will be on the roster next season. I really don't see the catching situation changing a whole lot. I believe that Ross and Valentin will both be back, and that it will probably be at least a 50/50 platoon next year.
September 21, 200718 yr Wow, a West Coast game the day after a night game.....Who screwed that up? The Reds got hosed across the board on the schedule this year...
