Just saying I am not a big fan of that lineup.
Now you know, how I feel about the Reds pitching staff.

I can be wrong...I don't like it, but I can accept it.

I think it is splitting hairs to worry about E5's hitting 8th instead of 6th or 7th. No worries, just pointing it out.

Kepp has played about 20 games in a row so I don't think it is unreasonable to give the kid one day off. Gonzalez didn't exactly lose his job because of poor performance. Not saying he was tearing it up, because he wasn't, but if the tragedy with his son hadn't occurred he'd never have left the everyday line-up.

That being said, I'd bet you my next paycheck (about .36 cents) that Keppy is playing tomorrow somewhere (probably 3B...which means Eddie won't be hitting 8th :p;) ).

Gonzo is batting .517 vs Snell.

Is that your version of an olive branch or a back-pedal? :p;):D

I predicted before the games that Dunn and Griffey would each get a game off. Am I okay with it? Not necessarily. Was it easy to see coming with two hooks on the hill? Yes. There is NO WAY, even against two righties, that Griffey was playing both of those. I think if it had been a hook and a righty, or two righties, you would have seen Dunn play both games. You know me Bro, I want Dunner out there every day. :D :D

Predicting it and liking it are two differnet things.

Neither just putting it out there. Unlike someone people who think they are right just cuz they say so. :D

Hamilton is going to sit against all lefties, like it or not. A) Hopper has been playing well so it is an excuse to get him in there; B) Hamilton's body has proven to be fragile (understandably so given the abuse it has taken) so I don't think anyone thinks of him as an "everyday" player right now.

Just my hunch....

Its fine if Hopper who is on fire plays for Hamilton one game and an ancient Griffey in the other in my mind. On the other hand Ellison for Dunn when you have to win 2 games. Not so much.

Very, very true. I wasn't thrilled with it but could see it coming a mile away.

Well that we went through that I know I jinxed Edwin. He will be 0-4 tonight.

Believe it.

Bronson Arroyo will start Sunday, with Saturday's starter still up in the air. Keep in mind that Saturday is Sept. 1. Bronson volunteered to pitch on short rest on Saturday, but because he was tired early and it's the last month of the season, Pete said he wanted to kep him on regular rest.

I've got plans to head to St. Louis this weekend if the Reds don't tank it this week.

No pressure tonight Jr. goes deep 3-0 Reds.
