August 29, 200719 yr I'm not sure it's that easy. I mean, if Valentin gets on and the pitcher bunts him over, you still need two hits to score him. E-5 at least scores on that hit. Not saying that's his thinking but it certainly is not 'easy'... Plus it's likely he's thrown out at 2nd on even an average bunt...

August 29, 200719 yr Eddie has been hitting 8th for quite some time, why the uproar now? He's been working there so why upset the apple cart? I'd guess he hit there every game he played (maybe 7th when Jorgenson started) during the 6 game winning streak.

I know that if someone is hitting well in a spot, you don't move them from that spot unless it's absolutely necessary. Now, if a couple more games go by and they're still struggling it may be necessary but I can tell you right now that players don't like to change when they're hot...

You're nitpicking two spots in the lineup. It's not like he should be hitting 3rd and he's hitting 8th. He's AT BEST a 6 hitter and he's hitting 8th...big freakin deal... We're talking baseball here, anything else and I'd dispute your findings...
