August 9, 200719 yr Check out what it says on the homepage: "The Reds bullpen blew three saves on Thursday to end its four-game winning streak to the Dodgers" Theme of the season ain't it?
August 9, 200719 yr Tough way to end the series, but nothing wrong with 2 out of 3. Bullpen gave up the 3 runs today in the 7th,8th and 11th. BUT they did pitch 1 inning Wednesday and 2 1/3 on Thursday and didn't give up anything. That's something to be proud of.
August 9, 200719 yr Worst Bullpen in majors, fix this and they contend. I agree. If they fix the bullpen and find either one good starter or an EXCELLENT long-reliever they could make some noise. One of those problems can be cleared up with Eric Milton being at least AVERAGE:mad:

One of those problems can be cleared up with Eric Milton being at least AVERAGE:mad: While I completely agree that this bullpen is about as effective as a car alarm on a Yugo, we can't blame Milton anymore. The albatross that he has been to this team and pitching staff is over and will be FINANCIALLY over in about a month. When looking up Milton's stats, I can't believe he hasn't pitched since May 8th. Seems like a lifetime ago.
August 9, 200719 yr The way this team operates I am sure that Keppinger will be on the bench tomorrow. It seems as if Everyday Eddie will fit right in with this bullpen.
August 9, 200719 yr Worst Bullpen in majors, 2nd worse behind Tampa Bay, shich on ESPN, they said it would be an embarrassment to bullpens everywhere to call them a bullpen even. Still very very very horrible bullpen for the Reds.
August 10, 200719 yr He used the clip to explain the communication level of the Reds front office. Typical common denominator tactics for what his show has become... :thumb: :thumb:
August 10, 200719 yr Great article that pretty much sums up my exact questions concerning the Reds. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070810/COL03/708100344/1062/SPT
August 10, 200719 yr Come on Reds, if you all beat the Padres tonight, and the Braves win then we're in the WC lead.

August 10, 200719 yr Obviously another much needed day off for Kepp... A genius decision to put a guy batting 360 on the bench, makes sense to me.
August 10, 200719 yr Kepp is getting the shaft lately but E-5 has been hot and so has Gonzo. Plus you can't sit Phillips.
