August 8, 200719 yr So they won't bring up Bruce the rest of the year to see what he can do, let's trade for an outfielder. Wayne gets the dreaded vote of confidence, will be interesting to see how that plays out.

August 8, 200719 yr What about Bobby C's comments about Krivsky. It sure doesn't sound like he's going anywhere, but I still trust HSSB and his source. He sure was right about Steve Stewart. We shall see. Here's the Bob Castellini stuff: On Wayne Krivsky: "Wayne’s a plugger. He’s a plugger. He just keeps after it. A lot of determination." "I think Wayne is taking a studied approach to everything,” Castellini said. “We’re on the same page.” Is Krivsky's job in jeopardy? “No.” "He’s done a good job overall,” Castellini said. “He’s trying really hard, we’re all trying hard.” http://frontier.cincinnati.com/blogs/spring/
August 8, 200719 yr Done a good job????? I guess my definition and Bob's are completely different. How would you rate Krivsky's job performance?

August 8, 200719 yr C-. You are tough. While Krivsky has made some moves that haven't worked out like he thought they would, I also think he has done a good job and deserves more time to make his mark with the Reds.
August 8, 200719 yr You are tough. While Krivsky has made some moves that haven't worked out like he thought they would, I also think he has done a good job and deserves more time to make his mark with the Reds. C- is about right. He keeps filling the team with players we do not need. What we need to do is what the Rangers are doing, they decided to SIT Sosa to play the young guys. The D-Backs brought up Upton straight from AA. Even the Yankees brought up Joba Chamberlain from AA in a penant race. But no, Krivskey brings up Durmatrait and Majewski and keep Homer, the future that we need to develop, is kept in AAA. Think out of the box once in a while.
