July 3, 200719 yr Which has nothing to do with Hobbs saying "If I'm here, he's here". If his merit at the job listed equals him staying, fine. If he's staying to babysit, it should be on Hamilton's dime... Why? If it helps him perform and help the Reds, why can't the Reds pay for it?
July 3, 200719 yr Why? If it helps him perform and help the Reds, why can't the Reds pay for it? I agree. It's not like his salary would be anywhere comparable to a players salary.
July 3, 200719 yr I took BP's comments as being selfish. Exactly. :thumb: Envy and strife are in the clubhouse...There is no true leader, not even BP guys, just my opinion but I imagine with comments like those, there aren't too many teammates who respect him... C. Trent also blogged this nice little nugget of knowledge... i think there's a reason brandon phillips has a locker at the end of the clubhouse away from all the other players. and that in cleveland one night this season he made the last out at second and had to go all the way to the dugout to get his own hat and glove, and that nobody brought it out to him. or that when things aren't going well for him, he won't talk to the media. but when he's doing well -- never mind the team -- he's all smiles. but yeah, i'm just being catty. http://frontier.cincinnati.com/blogs/spring/2007/07/jerry-reaction.asp
