Thanks to everyone for their prayers. I was released from the hospital this morning. I passed my stress test, and all of the other cardiac test. My doctor believes it's a pinched nerve in my neck that is causing me all my pain. I have an MRI on Friday, and hopefully that will show this to be the problem. Thanks again to everyone.

I missed this thread but I am glad that it was not as serious as feared. How did the MRI turn out?

Thank God everything was fine. Will be praying for you still.

I meet with my doctor on Tuesday afternoon to see what the plan of attack is. I'm also having some trouble with the pain medication my doctor prescribed me. I'm talking toradol, and while it greatly helps with the pain, it has also been giving me anxiety attacks. So I'm attempting to see how long I can go without taking it, because the anxiety attacks are no fun, and I'm not getting any sleep.

LRCW - you will continue to be in my prayers. I hope that your doctor will be able to figure out the best plan of attack for you.

Prayers are with you my friend. I have suffered from anxiety attacks in the past myself and you are right, they are no fun. I pray that your pain can be eased and even though mine is a far different problem (m.s.), I live in pain most of the time myself. Prayers going up and will continue to from the Rambler's here in Raceland :thumb:

LRCW, I am sorry to hear about your problems. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Take care and keep up the fight.

Hey Buddie...sorry to hear you are sick... Prayers and angels from the Sunrise family are with you my friend.

I slipped a disc in my upper shoulder/neck region last summer and it was the worst pain I have ever felt. My right arm was numb, tingling and I was miserable. The pain meds were great for a week or so and then I got freaked out and stopped taking them. I liked them too much. The Doctor basically said it would go away eventually and it will heal on its own. Be careful with lifting anything chest high for a long time is my advice but try to get better without the pain meds if you can. Good luck and I am pulling for ya.

I just thought I would keep everyone updated. I go to see Dr. Tibbs, a neurosurgeon at UK on Wednesday morning. I have been told he's the best around, and have talked to several of his former patients. I always thought my head was too big for my neck and spine to support. I guess I was right. My doctor has put me off work indefinitely until the neurosurgon and I decide what is best for me. I've also been told that Dr. Tibbs is not the type of surgeon that will automatically suggest surgery, and that if he thinks I don't need surgery then he will be upfront and honest with you. I still covet everyone's prayers. Thanks everyone.

Prayers and Thoughts, my friend. Listen to all the options and make a decision, to get you pain free and eliminate the problem. I hope the side effects, which cause the anxiety subside and you can rest.

Ask for all the literature you can and have your wife, do research via the net, so you can learn all the information available.

God hears prayers and I hope the best for you.

You have my cell # if you need me I am only a phone call away.:thumb:

Definitely will keep you in my prayers. Dr Tibbs is the best around. You'll be in excellent hands, keep us posted!

Fist of all, I want to thank everyone who has been praying for me. I went to see Dr. Tibbs, neurosurgeon at UK today. He told me that he doesn't believe I need surgery at this time. He wants me to do 4 weeks of physical therapy, and he has also changed my medication. That is the best news I've had in a while. Praise the Lord. Thanks to everyone once again.
