Well, at least The Godfather was #2....

Saying there is 24 better movies than TKAM is like saying there are 24 basketball players better than Michael Jordan. Unbelievable.

A lot of the allure of "Citzen Kane" is technical. It was one of the the first time deep focus photography was used where you could see what was going on in the background as well as the foreground. There were also visible ceilings. That was a revelation.

The story was also based loosely on newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst, who of course, despised the film. Add in the dynamic personality of Orson Welles and you have one of the all time greats.

BTW, I don't consider it the greatest ever, but I can see why many in the movie industry do.

Where was Porky's??:D But you are right that it is not a bad ranking. Kind of like UK; when your used to being ranked in the top 5 and are barely in the top 25, you get riled.

Never seen Citizen Kane or Gone with the Wind and nothing in me really wants to see either.

To give a testimony about TKAM, we show it to our freshmen students (14 year old males and females) after they are done reading the book. They sit spellbound for the most part. A 14 year old male watching a black and white movie sitting and actually watching it.

No way I think they do that for Citizen Kane.

What # was you know what?

Unranked, I believe. Its not that great and actually has only gained steam lately from an influx of rappers, etc. talking about how great it is and putting posters in their house on "Cribs."

Does anyone have a link of the list? Did JAWS make it?

Yeah it was right above Rocky:mad: It's all good though.

Raiders of the Lost Ark #66??? Greatest movie of all time IMO...

Lord Of The Rings from 2001 is the only movie from this decade to make the list. I guess the judges haven't seen Bug yet...
