June 19, 200719 yr Friends, My good friend and accompanist, Dr. Jay Flippin, had a heart attack last night (June 18). His wife Nancy called me to let me know, but at that time Jay was having tests done in the intensive care unit, so she had few details to give. Please pray for God's protection and healing. I am filled with mixed emotions. Jay & Nancy have a strong faith in Christ, and that is a comfort to me. But his loss (to any degree) would be a huge blow to the ministry, and to the entire music world. In addition to being a good friend, Jay has taken me "under his wing", and his knowledge & wisdom in the field of music have been invaluable to me. Jay has been a professional musician for over 45 years, and his contributions to the music world, through performing and teaching, have been legion. Thank you, in advance, for your prayers. I will keep you posted. In His Love & Care, Bluto 859-396-4379 [email protected] http://www.markandjanet.net

To say that he is a musical genius is an understatement: I will pray for him and his family. God speed, Jay.
