Tell me how Alice N' Chains (while I have no problem with them) begins to compare with Pink Floyd, The Stones, The Beatles and other mega groups. As far as Tupac goes, thats not even music. If there's no singing, no playing of instruments, it doesn't qualify as music. Honestly I think 2 Pac was absoltely brilliant. He wrote many many poems that were never turned into songs, most his songs are poems he wrote. I think the languages turns most people off from it but its some really good stuff IMO.

A lot of his lyrics and many rap artists lyrics are more meaningful than a majority of instrument playing bands. Also the beats and rhythmic arrangements of good rap artists are just as difficult to come up with as many melodies or riffs of instrument playing bands. Don't get me wrong there is a lot of really bad rap produced but when you find a good rapper like Tupac that is definately music.

I'll be honest, it took Alice In Chains a while for me to get into, but it would not surprise me one bit to see them along the lines of Pink Floydd in the future. I apologize for the use of the word 'foolish', as music is to each his own when it comes down to it, but I just don't understand some tastes and musical respect that some others have. With all of those bands dolamite listed, I'd rank them as: 1. Nirvana 2. Led Zeppellin 3. Sublime 4. Hendrix 5. Tom Petty 6. The Doors 7. Alice In Chains 8. Tupac 9. Skynyrd 10. Sabbath/Ozzy 11. Pantera
