June 17, 200719 yr Skynyrd...I really like their music. I'm 22 years old and really wish I would have had the chance to see the originals play. I watch videos of you tube every now and then of them playing. Seeing them play Free Bird at some of the out door events gives me chills. Obvious choices: The Stones and The Beatles. Might not be so popular with some of you but I also really like Guns N Roses. As far as the Tupac debate goes, in my opinion he is the greatest rapper ever. Some of his songs are like very smooth poetry with a beat. I grew out of my rap stage my sophomore year of high school but I still listen to a little pac every now and then. He may very well be the greatest rapper, I couldn't tell you, but let's not call him a singer since he doesn't sing.

If you just heard the stuff on the radio, that's one thing, and if somebody forced you to listen to an album or two one time and you immediately dismissed it, then I recommened trying to take a listen again. I know you're digging the attention of saying they suck and all that, but seriously, for your own ears' sake, give them another shot. I'll be the first to admit that Kurt's voice is NOT the best sound in the world, but the music itself is absolutely wonderful.

Tell me how Alice N' Chains (while I have no problem with them) begins to compare with Pink Floyd, The Stones, The Beatles and other mega groups. As far as Tupac goes, thats not even music. If there's no singing, no playing of instruments, it doesn't qualify as music. This is why we have grouped music into genre's. June 17, 200719 yr Author A few more off the top of my head I haven't seen mentioned: U2 Elton John Pearl Jam Red Hot Chili Peppers Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young Aerosmith - I'm still a bit up in the air, but they've been around forever and Toys in the Attic is pretty awesome. Guns N' Roses - I know, I know. But Appetite for Destruction is legit. And they pretty much ended Hair Metal. Jimi Hendrix There are a bunch more of influential musicians that don't get a lot of credit; I can't say that I can even scratch the surface but here are a few: Chuck Berry Little Richard Howlin' Wolf

Everybody needs their mother's attention at birth or else they'll die. Experiments have proven that. Your opinion, as much as I'd like to change it, is valid. Back to the music: my favorite band is The Refreshments/Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. I still believe The Rolling Stones to be the GREATEST band of all time, but I'd still rather go to a RCPM concert. If that doesn't make sense to anyone, consider that it's kind of like how I believe Male to be the greatest all-time football team in the state (*shudder*), but Manual is still my favorite.
