(*cough*gt*cough*) The Rolling Stones Bands to this day are ripping on the sound of the Stones. Plus, if you can't respect their longevity, then... pssshhh... what mass following have YOU garnered the past 40 years?
June 16, 200719 yr The biggest problem with radio stations such as that is they don't go deep enough into the catalogue, instead seizing on a select few that were the most famous ("Stairway …" and "Sweet Home Alabama" and the like) and grinding them to the point they are unlistenable almost. Exactly.For me to enjoy those bands Id much rather hear the B.Side song that gets no airplay or little airplay.:thumb:

June 16, 200719 yr Dave Matthew's voice really bothers me... the band's music is ok. The band is talented, but I don't think they have very good songwriting. Their improvisation is incredible though, I'd say they rank up their with some great jazz musicians in terms of improv.

Well, I don't really know much Pantera... but still. What's foolish about it? I don't see them getting lumped in with the all-time greats, and that's basically what this thread is about. Tell me how Alice N' Chains (while I have no problem with them) begins to compare with Pink Floyd, The Stones, The Beatles and other mega groups. As far as Tupac goes, thats not even music. If there's no singing, no playing of instruments, it doesn't qualify as music.
