That's fine. I haven't seen him yet, but that was from people who follow recruiting for a living...

 

 

I've seen him play at least once over the last three years and his game has evolved each time. He's a real nice player, and he kind of reminds me of a young Steve Novak.

He has the skills, size & basketball IQ to play D1. He has improved his game over the last 3 years & from what I see of him he is more an outside player. He can go inside & is not afraid to do so. He just doesn't have the ability to get around the D1 player at this time to get inside. The one major thing that will definitely have to improve for him to be successful at any D1 school is his foot speed,latteral quickness etc.., This is one area I have not notice any significant improvement. Remember he is only going to be a Soph so he has time. Good luck to him it would be nice to see him develop to that type of player.

Euton is good and I don't want to downgrade his ability and potential but at UK your basically looking at another Jared Carter if he even grow that much more. Just my opinion and I could be wrong about it.

I've only seen him once, against Mason County in Harrison County's pre-season panorama last year. Obviously wasn't one of his better showings; so I'll reserve judgment until I've seen him again as a soph and a junior.

 

Jackson was a tough matchup. Lightning-quick. Had over half of RH's points in a blowout win by Mason County in what was a preseason scrimmage that was pretty meaningless except as a tuneup for the regular season.

Euton and Jackson have been starting at the varsity level since 7th grade.

 

As a result, they both have the skills and experience level of many quality high school seniors.

 

Both work as hard as anybody out there. Euton is getting stronger and quicker every year. Jackson is getting stronger... I don't know how he could get a whole lot quicker. Euton is a threat to score from 30 feet in. Jackson is developing a nice outside stroke to go with his ability to penetrate and finish.

 

The best part is, they have three more years to grow and fill out... three more years... I actually think they both could have another inch or two left to grow, and lots of muscle to put on.

 

Time is on their side.

 

They are both a safe bet for a major D1 program.

 

The best thing might be for Coach G to snag both of them. He'd be snaring two quality players who will have been winning together on a national level more than seven years by their senior year of H.S.

 

That would really give folks something to talk about. :thumb:

I've heard a lot of great things about both, and I believe they will both be very good at a high D1 level. Saying they are what brings "UK back to the National Spotlight" is a bit much. Agree???

I agree that making such a statement about any 10th graders sounds like a truckload of hype... but these are two of the finest young men it is my privilege to know. With three full years to develop and grow, I would not be surprised at all to see this pair contribute to bringing success back to the UK program.

The jury is still out. Euton is a tremendous young talent, but has yet to even reach the regional tournament. He has improved his speed and quickness tremendously, but for UK to make an offer at this early stage

would be premature. I do hope that it happens if that is what Dakota wants. He seems to be a good young player and a good kid. Let's all enjoy watching him develop, and more importantly, let's let him have the opportunity to be a teenager before he is thrust into the pressure of being a Wildcat.

Does anyone think that Jackson will have to develop an outside shot for a D1especially major D1 to seroulsy consider him?
