Harold Frank Dodd, the father of Coach Steve Dodd was buried today in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. He always geve his sons only one response when asked by them about coaching. He may not always be right, but he is your coach, and you better do whatever he asks you to do. If only more parents would give their children this sage advice, it would be a better game for everyone, players parents and fans alike. May Mr. Dodd rest in peace, and blessings on his family!

Anyone who leaves Jonathan VanHoose off of Russell's all-time team is a little short on basketball IQ.

The jury is still out. Euton is a tremendous young talent, but has yet to even reach the regional tournament. He has improved his speed and quickness tremendously, but for UK to make an offer at this early stage would be premature. I do hope that it happens if that is what Dakota wants. He seems to be a good young player and a good kid. Let's all enjoy watching him develop, and more importantly, let's let him have the opportunity to be a teenager before he is thrust into the pressure of being a Wildcat.

I heard that Austin Blair turned his ankle in practice yesterday and will not be available to play for Russell in the 63rd District Championship game. Can anyone confirm this?

A lot of credit should go to the coach at Bath County. He has turned that situation around.

Russell has won 13 of their last 14 and beat the second and third ranked teams in the 16th by double digits last week.

Russell has 21 wins iin the 16th region. They are 21-4.

Maybe the coach is trying to let some of the younger kids play at the end of games.
