To college football fans across the country, who care about teams all over the country, it's still a game they would likely want to see.

 

Especially considering the guy who's touted as the No. 1 pick is QBing, against a guy who threw up some nice numbers in his own right and is starting to receive some pro attention. These 'Cat fans are severely underestimating the "sellability" of the game to a national audience.

It would be better for UofL by the same logic. With the BEast conference schedule expanding, you could argue that Louisville would benefit more than UK if the game were played in December. But it wouldn't have worked with the schedule.

 

You have to admit that it's so different as to not be realistic to compare the two.

 

Still though, what it comes down to is UL made the decision that they wanted and Kentucky made the decision they wanted. Like it or not I do not have a problem with it. UK thinks it will give them a better chance of winning the game for arguable reasons. Now, a UK win not on tv is much better than a UK loss on tv anyway you look at it.

I strongly believe it will be picked up by National TV. You have 4 guys in an in-state rivalry that are on Mel Kiper's big board. I think in the end it will be on TV.

Still though, what it comes down to is UL made the decision that they wanted and Kentucky made the decision they wanted.

UK WANTED the game moved. UofL didn't, they had to move the game to make the schedule work.

Its sounds as difficult to defend as the Louisville asking to move the date of the game. Both sides made the switch in other sports, but for some reason it seems like its so much worse for UK to do it.

 

 

A lot of UL fans and some that just simply dislike UK and their fans constantly think everything UL does is right, and everything UK does is wrong. That is NEVER going to change.

A lot of UL fans and some that just simply dislike UK and their fans constantly think everything UL does is right, and everything UK does is wrong. That is NEVER going to change.

I've also seen several UK fans not happy with this move.

 

And just so we're clear, here's my stance. I think it stinks for UL, but they signed the deal. They won't be hurt by it much though because they have at least 4 other games on national TV.

 

How many more will UK have? 2? I believe declining chances to sell the program to the nation for things like "we need two more weeks to get ready" is foolish and detrimental to the future program.
