Some may wish it to be otherwise(remember the gleeful 'Death spiral!' posts when Petrino left?) but Louisville's program is here to stay.

UK's work is also not a house of Cards, although we do have a "Joker" running the offense. (pun intended) I agree he (Jurich) has laid the foundation as it was only a blueprint before he took over. I also agree that the program is there to stay but I am not convinced that the football program is on the solid foundation that you suggest. It will take a few more years of success and a few National Championships to do that for me.

Isn't it a little premature to deteremine that he will be successfull just yet. And yes I know that same fact hasn't stopped the Billy G crowd either.

June 21, 200719 yr BUT When Chris Redman graduated we were all told Louisville was on the way down. When Dave Ragone graduated we were all told that Louisville was on the way down. When John L. left we were told Louisville was on the way down. Now that BP has left what are we hearing? Hasn't been true before, why do you think it will be true now? And for the record I'm not "certain" that Louisville will beat UK this year BUT I am also not "afraid" that Kentucky will win either. If Brooksie can't get them ready with an entire offseason to plan for them, 2 extra weeks won't make that much of a difference. The TV makes a difference to me because I can't go to the game and I want to see it live.

June 21, 200719 yr Gee, the game used to be on ESPN or ESPN2 ... now we're talking ESPN Classic. Of course, some cable outlets don't have ESPN Classic, so a lot of fans are at the mercy of their cable providers. They'll just have to hope the game gets picked up on their system.
