June 6, 200719 yr Thought this was pretty interesting from NBADraft.net This tells us something we already know, among other things, and that is that Brandan Wright needs to be locked in the weight room. Al Horford did 20 reps at 185 on the bench. Wright? Just twice. http://www.nbadraft.net/duffy001.asp
June 6, 200719 yr They said Durant couldn't even bench 185 one single time on Mike and Mike this morning!!!
June 6, 200719 yr I didn't open the link so it may have mentioned this. I'm guessing you can't draft Kevin Durant as a power forward when he cannot bench 185 ONCE.
June 6, 200719 yr Brandan, Julian…this is a weightroom. Here, you put weights on bars and lift it up and down until you can’t do it anymore. After you are done doing that, you go back to the cafeteria and you eat this food group called protein. It will help you, trust me.
June 6, 200719 yr Fortunately, the balls they currently use in the NBA weigh nothing near 185. Funny but meaningless info re: his ability to bench press 185.
June 6, 200719 yr Fortunately, the balls they currently use in the NBA weigh nothing near 185. Funny but meaningless info re: his ability to bench press 185. They changed the rules, it's a contact sport now. You have to physically interact with the other players. Just messin, cshs81, just messin.
June 6, 200719 yr Here is ESPN report: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2007/news/story?id=2894925 Oden jumped 34 inches in the vertical leap while Durant jumped 33½ inches, completed the agility drill in 11.67 seconds to Durant's 12.33 seconds, and finished the three-quarter court sprint in 3.27 seconds, ahead of Durant's 3.45 seconds, according to the report. Durant, however, had a 7-4¾ wingspan, which ranked second among all prospects and measured a half-inch wider than Oden's wingspan.

But no worries Kevin...You have the SECOND LONGEST WINGSPAN man! 22 days & 34 minutes away!

June 7, 200719 yr Is it possible that Durant drops out of the 2 spot? You know better than that. I remember reading about Shaq's lack of BP strength when he entered the league, that really hurt him. Durant will never be muscle bound but I would like to compare his current frame to the one he'll have in 5 years. I bet we will all see a huge difference.
June 7, 200719 yr It's like they said on ESPN today, he has probably never even been on a solid continual weight program before...he'll be fine and I don't see this hurting his draft status at all.

June 7, 200719 yr Is it possible that Durant drops out of the 2 spot? Not a chance. It would either be Brendan Wright, who didn't exactly impress anyone, or a random Chinaman. We've seen Durant get it done against the best college has to offer, he'll be fine.
