June 4, 200719 yr My mom has been to several doctors lately. She has ringing and pressure in her ears that is making her sick and dizzy. She said it is also making her weak. She has popping in them and her eyes and temples hurt. No infection can be found and the allergy doctor says that it is not caused by allergies. She has tried all kinds of medications, both what her doctors have given her and over the counter. Nothing seems to help. She has been suffering from this for about a month and she is sick of it! So, once again, I am asking for a prayer for her so that she can start to feel better soon. Thank you!
June 4, 200719 yr Has she been tested for Ménière's disease or any other inner ear problems? These types of problems are hard to diagnose and you need someone who specializes in the inner ear. My wife had a horrible attack of vertigo when we were on vacation a number of years back. She suffered partial hearing loss and permanent balance loss in one ear. Even today, sudden movements and changes in elevation can really give her problems.

Even today, sudden movements and changes in elevation can really give her problems. My stepmother suffered greatly from this disease. It was hurtful for me to see her undergo an attack, which included uncontrollable vomiting, zero balance, headaches, etc. She had an ear surgery that mostly relieved the symptoms. She has went from being incapacitated for 2-3 weeks a month to may 2-3 days a year. Mrs. P - I will be hoping for relief for your mother.
June 4, 200719 yr Author Thank you all..... No, she has not been checked for that, and, those sound like her symptoms. She had gone to an ENT doctor, however, he was more worried about partial hearing loss than her being so sick. Maybe time for a new ENT doctor! Thank you all for prayers and suggestions. June 4, 200719 yr Often times, medications can cause this symptom and it's hard to detect. Has she been taking any new medication, which may cause this. Also, ear wax buildup can be a culprit, along with MD, like HHHDad mentioned. Hope she gets over it and is fine.

My mother has suffered from this same type thing on and off for years. She also suffers the vomiting, loss of balance, fainting. etc.. It was diagnosed and an extreme inner ear infection I believe and I will get with her on this and either post or send you a pm on the medication and treatment. I feel for your mother.
