Is Lucas considered a transfer and required to sit out one year if he switches schools? Dumb question, I know, but I don't follow this as much, especially recruiting. Also, what are the odds he switches? Does he wait for a new coach or start shopping now?

If he stays one academic year, he will be considered a transfer, will sit out one year at his new school, and have 3 years left.

According to Marc Maggard, there's an 07' South American PG that may be a Wildcat.....He said he's a stud, but I'm skeptical.....

I think Maggard is throwing a lot of stuff against the wall to see what sticks right now...

Here is the thing with Lucas. He would be a nice addition to the team. But he is not a necessity like Patterson was. If we get him it would be nice, but its not as important as getting quality interior help.

I wonder if he really picked UF because he thought Patterson was going there, Or did he really like UF?

He liked UF because Green left. Starts and ends there...

He must be hating his choice of colleges right at this point. The 2 coaches that recruited him hard, Tubby and Billy D, have both gone to a different school/different level, and now he is left without his "friend" Patrick Patterson. Sure he will start at Florida, but it is the complete opposite of what he thought would happen. I bet he thought about 3 weeks ago that he would be the starting point guard for the Florida Gators under Billy Donovon, and having the chance to dump the ball into the post to his fellow freshman Patrick Patterson. Now, the only way he will play with both of them is for both he and PP to get drafted by the Magic at the end of their college careers, how ever long they may be. He is going to be happy, but not near as happy as he expected.

I dont feel bad for Jai. When he signed I said good luck and you will hav ea new coach within the next two years.

I think Donovan knew all along this was what he wanted and awaited the right opportunity. In which is a reson I think he didn't consider UK much he knew were he wanted to be and didn't want to serve such a short time at UK.
