The latter speaks of Lucas taking the night and so forth to think about where he stands with the Gators and himself. I bet that kid is in total shock; no Patterson, no Donovan.

Also!

Jai Lucas (No. 35 overall) would think Kentucky looks awfully good since they were his other choice, and they're still looking for a point guard. He'd be the most worthy of being let out of his letter if there were ever an issue, because he waited so long to commit because of fear of a situation like this, and he finally made his decision two weeks ago in the final moments of the spring signing period. He also considered Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Alex Tyus (No. 32) would probably be the shakiest of the kids that signed early. He's a St. Louis kid that played at prep school in Cincinnati (Harmony Community). There's probably a connection to Bob Huggins there still since he did recruit him when he was with the Bearcats, and maybe there'd be a scholarship for him at West Virginia. Maybe a Missouri or Illinois or another Big Ten school.

I wonder if he really picked UF because he thought Patterson was going there, Or did he really like UF?

Makes one think that Patterson didn't wanna play with Lucas.

It might be tough for him to consider UK, since all the fans already said they never wanted him anyway...

What if Florida releases Lucas to anyone but Kentucky. Could they do that?

I wonder how much he listened to them when they were saying how bad they wanted him here before he signed with UF.Was the one scholly UK has left for him all along for this reason?

No.

I feel bad for Jai, and I hope things work out for him, but I don't see how anyone could honestly say they are surprised by Donovan leaving.

All the fans? Don't you mean the 18%?

I thought Billy might have had this done before now.

Tyus has been going to UF since January. No LOI release available...

He would have to stay until the end of fall semester in order to fulfill his LOI obligation.

And he would then be a transfer, right???

I would assume so.

Want, and need are two different thing. :D
