I think that it was more of the fact that all others on that show are very liberal and they kind of used Elisabeth as a whipping post. "Little Elisabeth" finally got fed up and came back on one and wouldn't back down :ylsuper: . She made a complete fool out of Rosie and all liberals(which is not very hard to do) and they couldn't stand it. Imo it was the shock factor of her (Hasselbeck) standing up for herself and not letting herself be ran over anymore. :thumb:

Most liberals won't even claim to side with Rosie. She is so far out there that I am not sure who would claim her.

 

It was very nice to see Hassleback stand her ground and not back down from Rosie. I like the backbone she showed.

Do you watch the View regularly?

It is easy for conservative Republicans to have second thoughts about their allegiences particularly in light of the present group of spineless leaders in the party. However, comparing Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Rosy O'Donnell gives one a new sense that he is still on the right path.

 

While you can compare appearance (that incorporates much more than mere physical beauty), the stark contrasts in lifestyle, attitude, and respect for others make such a comparison ridiculous. O'Donnell is, at her very best, a parasite on the principles of a civilized society. Maybe she can be exiled to Devil's Island where the wildlife could enjoy her presence.

 

You are talking of course about all of the horrible philanthropy that Rosie does? Check out her lifestyle, other than her lesbianism and see what she does with all of that money she makes. Sheesh.

I don't care about celebrities politics. They one thing that upsets me is when they take time on a non-political show to propogate their views. I think Rosie O and a lot of others have used the podium of a television show to spew their one sided views. Like the time on her old show when out of the blue she attacked Tom Sellec over his membership in the NRA, my wife enjoyed her old show up until that moment. I don't think she watched it over 3 or 4 more times.

If Hasselback had said these things to Joy Behar or to Star Jones, it's a non-issue. Before Rosie came on the show, she hadn't said 20 words total on the show from what I've heard. I'm not ready to hand her to keys to the kingdom just yet.

I don't think Rosie was bad because she was liberal. I think she was bad for making alot of outlandish claims that were WAY OUT of bounds for network television. She claimed the twin towers were brought down by someone or something other than the terrorist acts. That is late night coast to coast type stuff, not a Barbara Walters show. Then she claims our soldiers are the terrorists for invading Iraq? How does she keep a job anywhere in the US after saying these types of things? How do the sponsors justify this type of programming?

I agree here, One thing is that Bawbawa Wawa is as just as liberal idiot that Rosie and the red headed witch is on that show. Walters just covers it up better and hides it when she has to. Bawbawa has much more pefected the 'spin" technique that makes herself look good. She needs to retire.
