How is that any different from a starting pitcher turning over the water cooler and mucking up the bat rack after getting yanked from the game following giving up the go-ahead homer? Is that an example of "true liberal class" as well? Or is it just somebody who let their temper get away from them? I didn't know temper-flares were exclusive to just one idealogy.

 

If anything, it's just Rosie being what she is, irrespective of idealogy.

Well, a pitcher was out there competing and maybe didn't have it, getting frustrated...if that analogy holds true with rosie.....her brain let her down...which has become the constant variable through most of her professional career.

I don't think Rosie was bad because she was liberal. I think she was bad for making alot of outlandish claims that were WAY OUT of bounds for network television. She claimed the twin towers were brought down by someone or something other than the terrorist acts. That is late night coast to coast type stuff, not a Barbara Walters show. Then she claims our soldiers are the terrorists for invading Iraq? How does she keep a job anywhere in the US after saying these types of things? How do the sponsors justify this type of programming?

Because, just like Howard Stern, people tune in to see what she'll say next. If you would just ignore her, she'd go away.

 

A similar concept:

This mediocre hip-hop group in Miami about 18 years ago released this album filled with cussing and sexually explicit material over a few catchy beats. It was OK, but nothing groundbreaking. It tooled along and sold about 250,000 copies its first year, and looked poised to drift off into obscurity.

 

Then, out of nowhere in 1990, a representative from a "family values" group expressed outrage over the album's content to then-Florida Gov. Bob Martinez. Martinez banned the album in the sunshine state, calling it obscene.

 

In a classic case of the law of unintended consequences taking over, the controversy propelled the album back into the public consciousness, and soon thereafter, sales topped 2 million copies, and this mediocre group of Miami rappers were now stars.

 

Moral of the story: Just let it go, and it will go away. All the outrage does is draw more attention to it. You people get so darned worked up over Rosie that TV producers are clamoring to keep her in the limelight, because controversy sells. Just ignore her.
