May 17, 200719 yr This is a great site to check out what is going on http://rodeo.cincinnati.com/cinweekly/
May 17, 200719 yr Thanks Bud... Or take 71 to Reading Road. Pass the hospitals, make a left, and the zoo is down on the right. The Levee is a definite stop for all to have fun. You've got the movies, restaurants, and entertainment all in one place. While there, you can stop by and say 'Hi' to GT. Also, when are you heading up? There's Maifest in Covington this weekend, and the taste of Cincinnati next weekend with lots of good food and country music.

May 17, 200719 yr You have to make a stop at Newport on the Levee. Food, entertainment, and just fun all in one place. And don't forget the Aquarium.
May 17, 200719 yr Memorial Day weekend is the Taste of Cincinnati. http://www.taste-of-cincinnati.com/ I'll be there quite a bit for Q... :irked:
May 17, 200719 yr I'll be there quite a bit for Q... :irked: I think we'll be down there Monday late afternoon. I want to see Eric Church, and the wife wants to see Emerson Drive.

May 17, 200719 yr Newport on the Levee is the place to be, especially if you have teenagers with you! Walk across the Ohio River via the Purple People Bridge and you will be darn near the best ribs in the area... Montgomery Inn. Then afterwards, come back across to the Kentucky side of the pond and enjoy yourselves at Jeff Ruby's Tropicana! ...or if you do not care to drop all that cash, just call lneck and Henry521. They are just loads of fun!

May 17, 200719 yr See, I told you we take our BBQ seriously. :fire: Daves Famous is good, but it is a chain. You can't get any more local (or better IMO) than Montgomery Inn. I also agree with a visit to Newport on the Levee with a walk across the Purple People Bridge to dinner at Montgomery Inn. By the way, two things that ARE a must around here. One, if you havent had Skyline Chili before, you should try it. Dont have time? Stop at Krogers and take home some frozen. Two, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, the one thing almost everyone agrees on around here is Graeters Ice Cream. If you havent experienced it before you are in for a real treat. If you are coming up 75 North on your way to Covington, take the Buttermilk Pike exit and go right. About a block down the street on the right (immediately past Oriental Wok), you will find ice cream heaven. Might be a good way to reward your boys for being good on the long trip up. Biggest chocolate chips in town.:thumb:
May 17, 200719 yr Oh, and dont forget, when you get back we want a full report on what you actually DID do and what you thought!:ylsuper:

If you want to try the local delicacy, and be true to your KY roots, go for Dixie Chili -- It's a lot better, and is NKY's own! :thumb: O jeez, I think I just reignited the chili war. :creepy:
