Admiral Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 The Admiral clan will be heading north soon to visit the inlaws. My boys and I are planning to have some fun before we get there, and start are being bored contest. My inlaws live about 2 minutes from the bridge when you cross over into Cincinnati. How far is the zoo from the bridge? Last time up I also got to go to Traders world flea market. (I think I remember the way to it from Cincinnati). I also remember the White Castle in Covington by the bridge. Also who has the best BBQ up that way, is it the Montgomery Inn? BTW when you see a vehicle heading south pulling a cannon, a Horse, and a Tiger It's me.

Admiral Posted May 16, 2007 Author Posted May 16, 2007 How far is the zoo from the bridge when you come in?
Birdsfan Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 How far is the zoo from the bridge when you come in? Are you talking about the Brent Spence, or the Suspension? But either way, it's no more than ten minutes or so.
Admiral Posted May 16, 2007 Author Posted May 16, 2007 It's the one after you come down the big hill and pass the round hotel on your right. I think that one is a suspension.
Beechwoodfan Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 You can map quest it, but the zoo is about a 15 minute drive. Well worth the trip. You may get to see the new baby rhino. Would recommend paying to park on the grounds as the neighborhood can be a problem. Best BBQ is definately up for debate around here. Personally, I vote for Montgomery Inn Ribs which has two locations close to you. Others would argue for Walts Hitching Post, but personally, I think there is no comparison. If you get an adult night out, or want to spend a lot of money with your boys, I would recommend Dee Felice. It is right there in Covington and oh so very good. For a night the boys might like, I would try Willie's Sports Bar. It is also in Covington overlooking the bridge. If there is a sporting event that night there are lots of TV's, some video games, good food, and a bar for you. Hope you enjoy your stay!
Admiral Posted May 16, 2007 Author Posted May 16, 2007 Thanks everyone. Anyone know if there is a place up there that deals in old videos and cartoons? Always looking to add to my little ones collection. I may have mentioned it, but I recently got him the entire "Shazam" tv series. And it was my hardest find to date.
