I would have liked to see Lucas come to UK, he's a great ball player. Anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves. To say you "hate" a kid because he didnt come to the school that you wanted him to is very childish and immature.

I was surprised Lucas signed today.

I think if he wanted to play with Patterson, he should have waited.

Because Patterson has played it very close to the vest with his recruitment, even with Lucas.

I think Patterson may end up at Duke.

I think he took a risk by signing well before Patterson, if he is truly wnating to play with him.

 

Not surprised at the decision, as the weekend wore on it became a little more obvious that JL was leaning UF's way, particularly after Greene signed with an agent. PT is more plentiful there.

Up until the weekend their were positive vibes for Lucas...but that changed over the weekend.

And the "we never wanted/needed Lucas" threads have already started on the UK boards.

I think I saw somewhere where Lucas was quoted as saying he didn't know what PP was doing, but that he was going after him or something along those lines.

I think he will be a good college guard but I still think that his lack of size and strength will keep him from being the elite guard that some think he will be. He would have been a good fit but UK needs big men much more than they need Lucas.

I think Duke is a serious player.

Buster is a huge fan and some have said he may have inquired about himes in NC.

These two may not really be attached at the hip.

From all accounts PP has not let Jai in on what he is thinking.

It's part of the game...if you they can't take it they shouldn't be playing.

Booing a KID because he didn't choose the school that you happen to cheer for is not a part of college basketball.

He was a good prospect for this year and we are full up at guard, so we just go after a PG next year. It's not the end of the world and time will tell if the kid made what we believe to be the right or wrong choice, but I am glad this circus is finally over. Maybe the other shoe will drop wed. afternoon and it will all be over. If we miss out on PP, too, we should just horde the schollys for next year.
