There is no way they can tell what school a person is or is not a fan of.....

Wrong. Plain and simple. If they want to, the information is out there...

How so?

I would argue that a lot of these fans did not attend nor graduate from UK, how can anyone determine which school they are actually supporting? If you trace an IP of John Q. Public, who is not affiliated with either school, to Cincinnati and he is messaging UK recruits as "UKBiggestFanEver111!!!" and then message UofL recruits as "CardinalsRBestest!!!one!" which school do you punish? Both?

How do they find people doing anything illegal on the internet? Locating who, what, when, where, why and how isn't hard to do these days. The texting ban shows the NCAA is VERY interested in preventing constant contact. They can trace that, and if they want they can trace this...

You throw it out because you have proof it's just a flamer...

You can find out who is doing it, but you can't prove what team that person is a fan of....So if I wanted to get some of my buddies to start messaging all the Duke, UNC, Florida recruits and begging them to come to those schools, they would get in trouble?

They can't even stop the stream of money from boosters to O$U football players. :D No way can they can implement regulated cyper patrols to this magnitude.

But he's not a flamer in the eyes of each recruit, which is the point isn't it?

You guys were blaming Tubby the whole time for not recruiting, when it was YOU all who should have stepped your game up...

I'm sure this issue is at the top of their list...

Would those people be smart enough to never post on that IP in favor of UK? Wouldn't that be a key give away???

Only when it gets to annoying spammer levels. We're talking up to 200 messages in 10 days. 20 messages a day in your email that you didn't want? Fun? Happy about it???

Not really....I'm sure you've posted positively about more teams than just UC....Does that make you a fan of every team you've ever done so for?:fight:

Well, Gmail is pretty good about catching it...:D

I know it's annoying, and I have never once defended, I simply see no way of stopping it, unless these recruits that get messaged refuse to go to UK.

Any search of my IP would show first and foremost I am a UC fan. Simple as that...
