How many Home Games does your team have this year??

Featured Replies

HHS has only 3 home games this year. :scared: Do you take this into account when you look at their standings in the pre season?

We all know it is harder to win on the road than at home. Also I know it will be different next year. (balance out);) ;)

Raceland has 5 home and 5 away. We always have either 4 or 5 home games.

Some people give more weight to home games, as far as predicting wins and loses. I don't know that it matters that much, I have seen teams win big games at home and I have seen them win big games on the road. I have also seen teams lose games at home that they should have clearly won. Sometimes I think teams play better on the road.

Senior night and homecoming will be very early this year. What is the date of the last home game?

The Highlands last home game is Oct. 5 against Scott.

The Highlands last home game is Oct. 5 against Scott.

That stinks for the seniors.

That takes away meaning of their senior night IMO.

But they'll play there again in the playoffs. :D

Due to the realignment several schools that Bell always played are in a different class or district. Clay County, Letcher Central, Perry Central moved up and out of district. Corbin would not reschedule Bell. In order to fill the schedule, the Bobcats are on the road for all but 3 games as well. The key district game with Rockcastle is one of the home games. Winner of that game has the home field for the playoff rematch if it materializes. Bell has Lincoln County, Sheldon Clark, Whitley County, and Tates Creek as tough away opponents. Schedule should make the Bobcats hungry for the home playoffs and then back on the road for three more! Should prepare them well for an invitation to the pizza party this year!

Bullitt East has 5 home games, 4 road games, and 1 neutral site game.

Is there any reason why Senior night can't be a playoff game?

Is there any reason why Senior night can't be a playoff game? Or is HHS on the road till the finals?

Woodford County has 5 home games, 4 road games, and 1 neutral site game.

Morgan County will have 6. No less than 5 home games every other year with the new set up.

Is there any reason why Senior night can't be a playoff game? Or is HHS on the road till the finals?

Could be that (in theory) there is no guarantee that the first playoff game would be at home. If Highlands were to finish 3rd in the district no home game. See NCC for example last year as every playoff game was on the road.

And when was the last time Highlands finished 3rd in any district? If i am wrong, which i don't think i am. Highlands has never finished 3rd in a 4 playoff format. It is a good theory, i just don't think Highlands is a good example!!
