In the real world you have two dynamic objects that hit each other and the most important factors are velocity and weight and larger vehicles weigh a lot more. Think of it in terms of football, suppose your offensive line goes 150 lbs across the board and my defensive line goes 325 lbs? What is going to happen? None of your offensive line would finish the game because they would all be hurt. That ratio is probably very close to a Dodge Hemi PK vs. a fuel efficient compact car. My point is, crash tests only tell part of the story. Size does matter! For the record I was 150lbs Noseguard and Left Guard, I made it through just fine:ylsuper: I see your point though.
May 4, 200719 yr With gas prices skyrocketing, My Dodge Ram with the 5.7 Hemi is really eating through gas, I'm spending in the neighborhood of 250 per month on gas and if gas hits 3.50 or 4.00 per gallon this summer, its gonna be 400 per month in gas. You put that with my 320 a month payment, I'm gonna be spending over $700:scared: just to drive. So I'm thinking of trading in on like a Honda civic. What do you guys think? I think you forgot to add in your insurance payment, so you're probably closer to 8 bills a month. Just wanted to help with your math.:thumb:
May 4, 200719 yr No I just like it cause its one bad truck :lol: But, no, I just use it for my commute to work and to Murray to see my g/f, I think I've used the bed of my truck to haul something apx 3 times in the 6 mos Ive had it Exactly... :thumb: In the event you have to borrow someone's truck for hauling purposes, once every two months, I am sure someone can help you out and you could spot them $20 bucks for gas to cover.

May 4, 200719 yr I love my truck but the gas is eating me alive:cry: I have a SUV and I am in the same boat. I love it but at this point in my life I don't think it makes economical sense.
