May 8, 200719 yr I really have a hard time believing that UK cant have a 7, 8 or 9 win season. Exclude LSU and this squad didn't get their normal "thumping" by anyone. Why can't UK have turned the corner? LSU, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn and the Gamecocks are not un-beatable. Maybe Im optimistic, Yoter 31 points is a moral victory at this point?

May 9, 200719 yr 31 points is a moral victory at this point? I was refering to SEC schools. If you would have read more carefully you would clearly see my list of school are all from the tougher, SouthEastern Conference. Louisville can continue to play in the kiddy pool known as the Big East. Have fun, Yoter
May 9, 200719 yr Louisville can continue to play in the kiddy pool known as the Big East. Have fun, Yoter When UK makes any noise whatsoever in the SEC, you can brag about playing in the SEC. As to the topic of the thread, I think the Cats go .500 this year.

Not to mention the fact that you opened with a statement of UK maybe getting to 9 wins, which would be VERY impressive if you were only referencing the SEC portion of the schedule. 5-0, kiddos. 5-0.:dancingpa
May 9, 200719 yr UK made noise in the SEC last season and played better and better as the year went on. I hope UofL's players are as overconfident as their fans.

May 9, 200719 yr Over-confident? Really? How so? Just go to ITV or CSR or any UL site and look at the UK-UL game predictions, that's how so!
May 9, 200719 yr Just go to ITV or CSR or any UL site and look at the UK-UL game predictions, that's how so! Our team went 12-1 last year and won the Orange Bowl...Sorry if we feel like the Cards will beat the Cats again this fall. And I know you don't want to talk about ridiculous threads...I think we were discussing this in another thread the other day.
May 9, 200719 yr The Cards may very well win again this fall, but the statements on here only back the accusations of overconfidence.
May 9, 200719 yr Didn't we have to listen to 'overconfident' talk last Summer for predicting Louisville to win by a few touchdowns? Turns out we weren't confident enough...
May 9, 200719 yr The Cards may very well win again this fall, but the statements on here only back the accusations of overconfidence. Maybe so but they went 21-1 like "2" said and throttled us last year. I guess time will tell.
May 9, 200719 yr I'm a Kentucky fan and I dont see too many on here being over-confident. Louisville had a great team last year that embarrassed UK and they return the best QB in the nation. Kentucky had a great season last year by our standards but we are not near the Louisville level of football. I wouldnt be surprised if they beat us badly this year. They are a great team, no shame in that. Louisville fans have a right to be confident, just as kentucky basketball fans used to be confident that we would run every team we played out of the gym.
May 9, 200719 yr Louisville without a doubt had a better team last year and should this year as well. UK made great strides though as last season went along. The talent discrepency is not as great as it was a few years ago and UK is also a much more confident program since the last time the two met.
